Ellen came to work for Reston Speech and Language Center in 1999 and loved it so much that she purchased the practice in 2006.

Ellen has experience working with children of all ages. She has provided services for children with articulation, receptive language, expressive language, and learning delays. She has had experience working with students with learning disabilities, attention deficit disorders, pervasive developmental delays, auditory processing disorders, reading disability, and emotional disturbances. She is certified as an instructor for the Lindamood Phonemic Sequencing (LiPs) program and conducts summer classes for students with reading decoding difficulties. This is an intensive six week program that is designed to help children with auditory processing deficits using multi-sensory techniques to improve their knowledge of sound sequencing and sound/symbol relationships.

Ellen is particularly proud of the quality of service that Reston Speech and Language Center provides and she hopes to impart her love of reading to all the children she sees.
